American Red Cross ® authorized provider of CPR, AED, first aid and OSHA-approved bloodborne pathogens training/certification
First, one suggestion. To allow you to perform all of the training skills on the floor and avoid embarrassment, please choose clothing that is both non-restrictive and non-revealing. Now on to the policies...
CPR-Twin Cities adheres to all American Red Cross standards, plus our own, in order to provide you with the best training experience possible.
Attendance
Students must arrive on time and be present for the entire class to receive certification. Late-comers may be denied entry altogether, or may be allowed to participate, but without certification.
Quality Standards
Students must not only attend class, they must demonstrate the ability to perform all skills and pass all written quizzes.
Recertification (also known as Review or Refresher) Classes
Recertification students will be required to show proof that they have successfully completed that particular American Red Cross class (or the equivalent class from the American Heart Association) within the past two years. They will also be required to bring along the participant book from their previous American Red Cross class. Students who don’t have a book will have the opportunity to purchase one on the day of their class.
Environment
Classes will only be held in a safe and smoke-free environment.
Emergency Cancellation
Emergencies happen, and often without notice. If a class cancels, due to severe weather, instructor illness/injury, family emergencies or anything else that might be considered to be an emergency, we will get you the training you paid for as soon as feasible.
Training Center Policies
The following policies apply to all classes taught in the training center of CPR-Twin Cities. They are subject to change, without notice.
Registration and Payments
Class registration is not considered to be complete until payment is made in-full. Payments may be made through PayPal (using a PayPal account or a major credit card) or by check/cash. If writing a personal check, it is required that the payer’s driver’s license number and two phone numbers appear on the front of the check. If payment is received (online or by check) after the class fills, the student will have the choice of applying the payment to next available class or receiving a full refund.
Student Cancellation
A student wishing to cancel a registration may request a full refund, minus $40, if notification is received at least 7 calendar days before the class. After that time, unless the student chooses to reschedule or transfer his/her registration (see below), the entire payment will be forfeited.
Student Rescheduling
A more economical option to canceling is rescheduling. Requests to reschedule (by phone or via e-mail) require a re-registration fee of:
$20 if received 72 hours or more before the scheduled starting time.
$30 if received less than 72 hours before the scheduled starting time.
To qualify, the make-up class must be taken within 60 days of the originally scheduled class.
Student Transfer
At any time before a class begins, a registered student may transfer that registration to any other person. That intent, however, must be communicated to CPR-Twin Cities in advance of the class.
Student No-Show
With a no-show, the registration fee is forfeited altogether. Special exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Low Enrollment Cancellation
Although we make every effort to promote classes scheduled in our training center, CPR-Twin Cities reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment. In case of a class cancellation, any student who has paid for his/her class will have the option of rescheduling into another class, at no additional charge, or receiving a full refund.
